Brighter Blade Ideas

Hey guys it seems as though there is always someone trying to get a brighter blade out of their saber... And aside from putting so much electronics in the blade you could light small city and need to power it with your very own personal generator, I was trying to think of some new ways to make the saber blades brighter.

My first thought was to make some small baffles with reflective mirrors so the the light could pass though on the sides but would be reflected back in the center. Then I thought maybe take that idea but make the mirrors semi-transparent. but all that seems like too much work just to make a blade and probably too delicate.

So I came up with this idea
Semi-Transparent mirrored films
They were made so that you can put them between layers of glass and they would mirrored on the outside but still let light though, for like office buildings and stuff. It's the same idea as a two way mirror works.
This particular stuff could changes from transparent to mirrored by light bombarding it.

So what I thought is I could take a 20% mirror finish car tint and put it inside the blade facing inward which would create some light buildup but still let it through.

I didn't know if you guys had any ideas or if there is anything out there already?

You described film blades! Ultrablades, PolyP, acetate, mylar, etc... all that idea. A film rolled up until it's semi transparent. They've been around for between 1-2 years.

Vadeblade had one that was really bright. I think he had a Luxeon powering a crystal chamber and another one powering the blade. Hey X-wing, I saw your crystal chamber on You Tube. Any possibilities of build instructions?

I am familiar with the poly p films but is there a way to get more reflectivity so you get greater light build up or would it diminish the light too much and none would show through the actual blade?
