    Yep, that will work. You can always rotoscope a blade on it with software after you shoot the footage.

    mhs would be your best bet... just disign your hilt in the saber builder... then make a list of all the hilt parts you will need then order! adobe after effects is good for retroscoping sabers btw you can get the demo of it online.
