Default Project: "Going Green For Christmas"

Hey all. This is a saber I built for my gf for Christmas. Named the "Viridian Virtue". A few months ago she she was playing with the MHS Builder one day, and I memorized the hilt she built.

    Here's the Rundown:
    MHS Body #4
    Blade holder #9
    Pommel #8
    Gender Changer
    2 inch Extension
    Psycho Lime PC by TCSS
    Wet Black PC by TCSS
FX Jedi board out of MR Obi ROTS
    Seoul P4 Green led
    5 degree lens
    Premium Speaker from TCSS
    4aa 6volt battery setup
    5mm accent led
Short piece of 3/4" Blade material
3/4" Blade tip with reflective disk removed
32" TCSS Style Thin Wall Poly C blade

Had some issues with the sound setup. It's all in this thread.

The switch was supposed to be silver, but I had to switch it out with a red latching since it was all I had on hand. She decided she likes the red better, so it is a permanent change now. I put a piece of sanded 3/4" Blade material in the pommel to diffuse the light from the accent led. I'm not too happy with how bright it is, so I'm going to be switching it out for a brighter one in the future.

    Here's the pics:

I installed a new accent led in the pommel. The left pic is the old one. It has a 5mm 15 degree viewing angle led. 565nm wavelenth(kinda yellow-green) 630mcd output. The right pic is the new one for comparison. It has a 5mm led with a 30 degree viewing angel. 525nm wavelength(darker green, closer to the blade led) 5000mcd output. Wow what a difference!

And here's one of her when she first opens it up.

    And here's a video:

That's rather sweet of you =)

It's rather impressive that you memorized the design of the saber she put together.

Thanks guys! I barely finished it on time. Finished it literally 5 minutes before she got home from work the day before Christmas Eve! It actually wan't that difficult to remember. It was only 3 pieces originally. The main body, blade holder, and pommel. Oh and the pc colors.

I can't wait to see yours all done Shad!

That's a cool gift and her expression in that photo is great! Nice saber, green is a unique color.

    Nice gift.

It doesn't look like she's looking at the saber in that pic. More like she's looking at where the LED is shining onto.

    Lucky...nice gift. Looks great.

Where are your sound vents? It seems like you left no where for the sound to come out. Lit pommels seems to be used more on reverse sound set ups as the sound would exit the hilt more noticeably somewhere else..

Looks like my p4 blue before adding 4 feet of gift wrap. Some gift wrap would even out it out nice. I like the p4 green. Sometimes it appears to have a blue tint in pics. Looks awesome here.

There is plenty of room for sound to come out of the pommel. Sounds the same even if I take the pommel off.

Funky colour, yet still a cool saber. Nice job.
