Hi everyone. Here's the latest hilt from ARKM sabers. It's called "Triton".
Yep, you guessed it. It's yet another Ahsoka variant. Only this time, it has electronics. It's my third and probably last, Ahsoka Tano lightsaber variant as I'm getting sick of making the little "gun sights" and their curved bases.
This is the first saber that I have ever put sound in as well as the first that I have ever put a recharge port/kill switch in. It's also the first saber of mine to have a name other than "Saber" followed by a number. What? "Saber 29" not sound cool enough?
I did some light "carbon scoring" on the blade holder which can be seen in the 3rd and 7th pics.
The blade holder is designed for 3/4" OD blades.
The sound emits from six small vents at the bottom of the hilt that are inlaid with a brass mesh material. You can't really tell in the video posted below but the sound coming from the saber is actually quite loud.
I'd like to thank Do-Clo, Rhyen Skytracker, Erv for his wonderful soldering video, the people who made the "tuts" here on the TCSS forums and anyone else who helped me by answering all of my questions on electronics and sabersmithing. You guys were a great help.
