Thread: Battery life/Runtime?

    Default Battery life/Runtime?

I've done some searching and not found anything specific as of yet so Ill ask here...

I am using a 2005 Darth Vader FX hilt that I have converted to led with a red Seoul P4 LED

What I'm wondering is what kind of battery life I should expect with this set up?

Here is what I have found:

    Seoul P4 - 2.5 fv, 800 mA

MR runs off 4.5v and puts out 3.2v, 1200mA

BTW the MR takes a 3x AA power pack
    Thanks

About an hour. Maybe just slightly over.

    3.2V (MR board) / 2.5V (Seoul P4) = 1.28

In this example, the MR board is providing more current than your LED needs, so you don't need to take the current draw into account. So, fresh batteries in your saber ought to last about 1 hour 15 minutes of constant playtime.

Thanks a lot... I knew there was a formula, I just didnt know what it was.

Math was never my strong suit. :banghead:
