    accent led bezels

    copper wire

nuts, speed nuts, acron nuts to fit your threaded rod sizes..

    wire

maybe some hot glue or JB quik?

Id say that about sums up everythign you'd need to make a nice one.

    wood tools = worthless

drill press will help....but handheld could be used as well (and a decent vice)

you don't nessesarily need a lathe or mill to cut metal but it just makes it easier. If you don't have access to either machine, you can always find a metal part close to what you want and use a hacksaw and maybe a drill to rough out the meat of it and finish it up with some metal files, sandpaper and polish. When I started my associates in machining in college our first part was made with a hacksaw and file and had to be accurate to within .001 of an inch.

The first lathes and mills were made by hand.
