You're welcome. I'm glad I could remember that I've seen something about this in a post before.

You ordered copper end caps? You could have just gone to a hardware, or plumbing and bought one off the shelf (or 2, in case you messed one up).

meh, i couldnt be asked to take a bus alll the way to the other side of town just to get a copper end cap, and i checked the stock, the hardware stores here have suprisingly little, no copper pipe caps, they stock bonzai plants though, which is...good.

j-lo, is the LED meant to sit on the top of the copper cap, or inside it? because mines fits on top, and now i'm going to find a way to secure it, any suggestions?

I always mount them INSIDE the cap. Drill two holes for wire, and use cool tape or thermal grease to go between the LED and cap. I also put some hot glue around the wires where they exit the cap to hold the LED in and help protect the wires. Put the optics holder and lens together and put it inside the cap on top of the LED, then dab some hot glue around the edge to hold the optics in. There, done.

Thanks for posting Fender, since it was your older post I was quoting.

ah, thats what i thought you had to do. mines is 3/4" OD for some reason and the LED doesn't go in, it just sits on top, but i guess that should do.
EDIT: I't works well just super glued to the top, finished my conversion, making me the youngest person ever to complete a lightsaber conversion (?)
