Nice job. I have something similar planned for my girlfriend's saber. Are we seeing certain MHS parts become gender specific?

Hahha, that's pretty cool to make a saber for your mom...

I think if I did that for my own parents... it would be a bloody TRAVESTY.

If there is a bright center to Star Wars fandom, martial arts interest, and generally 'weapon-oriented' things, my parents are on the planet that is farthest from...

So... rock on, I'm tasty JEALOUS that your parent(s?) would dig such a thing!

That is pretty sweet. I would definitely build a saber for my mom too if she wanted...alas, she is not a fan.
I have a son that is into it though and he is begging for a saber, but it would still be coming out of my pocket so it will have to wait. lol

heh, looks like our parents are the polar opposite. My mom is the one that got me into Muay-Thai, and Star Wars, thus creating an interest in Mixed Martial Arts and my further interest in SW. But I blame your YouTube videos for getting me into sabers.

I love that saber set up. I'm actually working on a saber using those exact parts, though the switch will be 'different'...

Keeping it on subject of Mums, mine is currently working in a factory that manufactures shelving, so it's being powdercoated by her in a lovely gloss black.

Being so great, the owner of these wonderful forums and attached shop has filmed how to build an MHS hilt, here's the link:
