One would assume a type of Quartz, either Normal, Smokey, Phantom or another ive missed, besides Titanium Quartz. Either that or Jadite

Ive done a chamber with a Citrine, Amethyst, and planning a Jade Pearl and an Aqua Aura, maybe even a Quartz at some stage... :P

Thanks for the positive responses guys. It is a type of quartz, leaning toward the more diffusive side.

    i'm guessing its a dragon pearl? :O
and ya, nice design. looks sturdy enough
everyone have to custom-shape the pillar-thingies though, since not everyone's crystals are round balls.

True you would have to cut the inside to match your crystal of choice. Also crystal & elastomer strips have to be able to take about 800 degrees F during soldering.

Big clue; rarely you may see a star in them.

Nice design, I may alter it and use it in my saber.

Shadar, orthoclase is a silicate but it isn't quartz. I would guess rose quartz since it's the most common variety to have stars.
