about the Activation box style 4

I was looking at the Activation box style 4, and I was wondering two things:

What diameter tube does it fit? It looks like the curve would fit best over a specific diameter tube. If the tube is too large or too small, it won't look right. Are these made to fit parts like the 3 inch extension tube? Maybe a dumb question, but I just want to be sure.

Also, is the 3 inch extension long enough? I know the activation box is only 2.25 inches, but I'm concerned about drilling holes to mount the box. Will that interfere with the threads inside the extension? Would it be better to mount it on the 4 inch extension?

They are made to fit MHS pieces, so a 1.45" OD tube. I forget the minimum length of a part for it to fit, someone else can chime in.

I would go 4 just to be safe as in my experience a Double Female has 1" of threads total 1/2" on each side.

Box 4 will fit on a 3 inch, just not a 2 inch without going through threads.

i am using a style 4 on my AREA51 saber and it has an OD of 1.5"" and it fits on perfectly and flush. just wanted to through that it there....

Thanks everyone, now I have another dumb question.

The description for the activation box says it will accept a DPST illuminated button. I don't see any DPST buttons. Could this be a typo? I see lots of illuminated buttons marked DPDT.

im guessing it is a typo or you can just use a DPDT possibly. dont quote me on that for sure but i think so. i am not seeing how the DT could mess up the mount on it anyway.

Box 4 will fit any of the Anti-Vandal switches in the store, whatever their INTERNAL config. might be.
