Thread: selective media blasting

    Default selective media blasting

Just as you can mask off areas to not be powder coated on parts, I'm wondering if you can mask off areas of a part that a customer doesn't want sandblasted?

The part I'd like matted is the blade holder #13, the inner rings I'd like to remain lustrous while the raised parts get a matte finish. Perhaps with a few sacrificial o-rings?

Grooves were cut after MB... the tip of the blade holder was taped before MB...
You would have the grooves re-milled after MB...

so I understand you correctly, if I order a part with media blasting, they'll blast then turn it?

Yes... but you'll have to contact Tim by email for a price quote... Having the grooves re-milled after MB falls under " Custom work fee " in services...
