    Question Drilling Questions

When drilling do you need to only use the drill bit that is going to make the hole you are drilling threaded? Not sure which to use first. Also why do the thick walled blades even when no hole is drilled get so stuck in the blade holder. It's almost impossible to pull them out once they are in there.

Threading, or tapping, is done by hand, not with a drill.

You have to drill the appropriate size hole for the thread size first, then you tap the threads by hand.

I don't know why you are having such trouble pulling your blade out. Do you have only one thick walled blade or multiple? There is a certain tolerance range with extruded plastic tubing, you could have one on the thicker side.

Be sure to debur the inside of the blade holder after you drill and tap your hole for the blade retention screw.
