Red led?

Where are red LEDs coming from I don't see any in the store but I know Luxeon makes RED not just RED-ORANGE. I would like to buy from Tim (especially shipping from one place lol) do I just send him a message?

If you don't see the red LEDs in the Store, it means they are out of stock for the moment.

Tim also carries P4 REDs if you don't mind that. Which happen to be in stock.

You can also get the red-orange.

It is a better red IMO.

depends on the bin number. i dont know what binnumber though makes a better red. im unsure of what shades relate to the bin.

the P4 reds are pretty good. there brighter than a lux 3 when both are driven at a standard 1 amp. but when you boost the amps to 1.5 then lux three takes the lead. i dont know for sure though. i have never seen a P4 overdriven at 1.5. i dont think its possible. but if it is it would be interesting see the lumen comparison.

bins 1-3 are more orange looking, and 4-6 are more red.

The bin number is on the back of the led....it is the second number in the first sequence of characters. No, you can't usually request a bin number unless you order them in the hundreds....it's mostly luck of the draw.
