I just bought a new BBQ set the other day, and was thinking I could convert the case into a Hilt travel case.
It already has some velcro straps. May needs some other mods later.

Plus they are always on sale in the summer.

There is also the option of a hard style fly rod case. They come in tube style and the conventional flat box style. There are skads of them on ebay and most large box store sporting goods outlets carry them.

I carry all of my sabers in a large rifle case. It works really well for me.

I use jo staff cases...they're about 4' long and are padded inside. They are only big enough to fit one saber, though.

This wouldn't be good for traveling on a plane, but for going back and forth to my "lightsaber class", I use a fabric fishing rod bag. I can carry 2 shinai and 2 bladed lightsabers in it.

I also like because it has 2 shoulder straps and I had my board name embroidered on it.

Now that is pretty cool, I have been thinking of painting my name on my case. I think this is what I'm doing tomorrow now.

I made one using thick PVC pipe, a screw on cap for it, and a permanent cap for the bottom. Then I lined the inside with foam, and I had a carrying case for any of my future sabers.

I'm gonna be using a pelican rifle case for carrying sabers. Heavy as neuranium, but those cases are near invincible.

Uh, I hate to tell you this, but this galaxy doesn't have neuranium.

    Really?

But really, those Pelican cases are tough as nails. If you have a really expensive saber, Pelican is the way to go to protect your investment.
