Thread: Ribbed piece for an Obi-Wan ANH?

Default Ribbed piece for an Obi-Wan ANH?

Does anyone know which ribbed piece is used for an Obi-Wan style ANH between the choke and main body? Similar to the attached pic?

Are you talking about what was used for the movie prop?

WWI British Rifle Grenade No.3 Mk.1 and top view of "ring" piece

No. 3 Mk.1 with pieces removed and ready to be made into a saber

That is the coolest thing I've ever seen. I didn't think it was possible for OBI to be more awesome then he already is but wielding a saber with a grenade attached to it. Wow. Thanks for your help. I will order the ribbed extension with V groove.

technically that's not the hand grenade's grip, it's the part that explodes, the grooves are there to weaken the metal so that it flies apart in pieces of fast moving shrapnel to cause maximum damage to soft targets (people)...

Who said anything about a grip? I don't see that anywhere.

It also wasn't a hand grenade, it was launched from a rifle.

And don't forget Obi's saber also had part of a jet engine, part of a camera flash gun, part of a machine gun, part of a faucet handle, and some electronic parts on it. I guess obi was a 'green' Jedi and couldn't pass up the opportunity to recylce.

    Yes.

The Parts of Star Wars site hasn't been updated since the part for the emitter and "gear" section have been identified.

They did an awesome Job on every weapon. Each weapon was modified after a currnet weapon of that time.
