Invisas's "J'anna Cal Marr" (MR Sound w/ Prolight RGB)
I showed the beginning of this saber in another thread as I wanted to know if the parts I brought would work.
So here is what I have so far.
Blade Holder 17
3inch Fluted

As you can see from the photos, the first thing I have really done is sort out the wiring but I also drilled extra holes in the heatsink as four wires need to exit through the bottom.
Beacause I tried polishing a piece beforehand I knew I had to polish this length of sink tube before cutting. I had one dilemma, I had no idea how to polish.
Fortunately my GF's dad is an ex tool maker and knows a thing or two. So he told me to rub the chrome off with a high grade emery cloth, which I did until the brass came through, then I ran some 400 wet and dry over it with some wd40 (to keep it smooth) and finally with some 1200 wet n dry and more wd40. As you can see it turned out pretty good.
Because of my choice of switch placement I needed to have the pommel modified to allow sound to escape. I drew the measurements on a bit of masking tape, marked out the holes and drilled.
The next thing I needed to do was draw up the plans for the shroud. I based my design on the dooku saber as well as marking out the curve of the blade holder. This bit of the shroud will sit 1cm below the top, adding a layered look.
And that's it so far. When I have more time to work in the shop i'll post another update.
