Thread: Blasters

    Default Blasters

Just finished a couple of blaster and wanted to share, saw some posted earlier and while sabers are nice a little diversity never killed anyone. The first is one that is based off Han's blaster in episode IV. The second is one I through together with parts I had sitting around from other projects. Both use a cheap rubies Han Solo blaster sound card and the leds are radio shack 4pin 4000mlm 3.3v forward max leds which need no resistor with the board hooked up to the positive and the speaker lead for the negative. and the scope is an actual pistol scope and old tasco.

    Sweeet!

I believe the correct sounds that would be made are 'pew pew pew'

The top part of the second gun is the "tactical light" from a nerf rifle. My Nerf Recon I'm working on has one of those. It's already got a bright LED in it.

Loreen is correct about the top part the grip is the front grip fro a nerf cs-6 long shot the barrel is pat of an old curling iron and the emitter is a sink faucet tip i got at a flea market. replaced the led with the radio shack one cause it is brighter then the one it came with.

    I think that's a great re-use of old parts.

I agree with that too. Both blasters are awesome.

I'm also going down the blaster route, except I'm going for a more put a pistol grip on a lightsaber method. lol

I'm not sure what how to build a functioning pistol grip so it works, looks good, and won't break off. Right now I'm thinking about making one out of wood.

Any advice you could offer would be helpful and again those blasters look great.

    Thanks
