Thread: Finally got another one working...

Default Finally got another one working...

I decided to call this one "Heritage" - once I got it put together, it reminded me a bit of Cade Skywalker's lightsaber in the Legacy comics. Well, at least for me... Decided to go with a blue LED instead of green... mostly because that was what I had lying about, save a cyan Lux V that I have earmarked for Perseverance once I get that upgraded to US 2.5. And hooray for YouTube goodness.

    Not-exhaustive Parts list:
    Blue Luxeon V
Thickwalled blade with quad-wrap of Corbin film
    UltraSound 2.5
    2x 14500 batteries
    TCSS AA holder
    TCSS speaker
    Speaker mount V2
    Red ring A/V switch
    Box 4
    Double-male connector
    Blade holder 12
    2" double female connector
    2x MHS gears
    4" double female grooved
    MPS pommel 1
    MPS insert 7
    recharge jack (currently unused)

    Well done man.

I have a red bladed saber with the blue button you have in red.

I had been intending to swap it, but still, it's funny.

    Something something something dark side,
    something something something complete.

I simply feel that I HAVE to get me a couple (or four) of those ultra sounds cause they seem to be so much easier to use and fit into sabers far easier.

The MR boards just aren't cutting the mustard.

Obi-Wan: "If you spent as much time practicing your saber techniques as you did your wit, you'd rival Master Yoda as a swordsman"

    Anakin: " I thought I already did"

Obi-Wan: "Only in your mind, my very young apprentice"

that looks really nice and well-decorated, and that brings me to the question - how and where do you HOLD it? like holding it and swinging it around.

Leading hand above the switch box, and trailing hand below. I usually went with a shorter hilt, so it's a bit of a change, but I don't feel odd doing it.

Good Stuff, Kant, very well thought out. I appreciate sabers a little more when they're designed around function - like they should be. OT sabers are classic... but clearly the force was not with those prop designers.

And I watched you YT vids... good stuff there too.

cool, with two gears. its very "chunky" in the middle then gets sleek at the top. very nice idea. will you switch to a chrome switch when they come back? or is it the plan for the black switch?
