New saber help

I want to make a stunt saber from parts in my hardware shop because I have no money at all and just want to make a simple saber. I want my saber to look something like this: http://www.ryan-w.com/sabershop/saberpics/05.jpg . I don't want the clamp thing. I want it to look like the saber ryan used in rvd 1, but this is the best pic I could get. Does anybody know what parts to get (in a hardware store) and how to build it? Including what tools to build it? I'd really appreciate it.

You do realize that's a machined hilt, right? You're going to have to get creative to make something that looks similar to that using hardware parts.

My suggestion for you is to go look for an old site called "Lightsabers From the Big Yellow Box" and get an idea of what you can do with hardware.

Then try Googling "hardware lightsaber".

I don't think anyone is going to be able to tell you exactly how to make that saber, but with some research into hardware lightsabers, it should give you some ideas on how to figure it out for yourself.

Some basic tools that would be usefull are a drill, hack saw, tubing cutter, Dremel or other rotary tool (maybe you can borrow these if you don't have them).
