Thread: Metal grip strips

  1. #1

    Default Metal grip strips

Does anyone know where I can come by some aluminum strips that can be used as grips (similar to the starkiller ones)? Thanks

How can we be expected to think outside the box when we work in one?

to my knowlege, Starkiller didnt have aluminum strips. You could just use some wiper blades, and trim down the sides of the to make them more narrow.

    Um.

Are you talking pure lead? Or some kind of alloy? I wasn't a Boy Scout, so I don't know what that's made up of.

Isn't it soft? Won't it be constantly getting nicked, dinged, losing chunks of itself?

And lead is poisonous, you don't want to be handling that unless it's painted or coated with something.

All-in-all, that sounds like a bad idea.

He should be able to find smaller strips of metal at hobby shops as suggested. I've seen aluminum and brass strips at mine.

J-Lo is very correct , lead can kill you , even if coated, it leaches out of anything.
