If it's like I think it will be, a cheap, narrow plastic hilt that's 2 pieces screwed together, it's not even going to be worth converting. Makes me wonder why the pic one bay is so tiny. Maybe so you couldn't see what the hilt actually looks like?

Leave it as a toy or take out the sound boards if they sound any good.

Start from scratch and make a real Luxeon lightsaber.

It would still be great to get pics and video of it in action.
One man's cheap is another mans budget.

given what i know about parts cost and profit margin I'm betting one man's cheap is pretty much everyone else's garbage.

Some of these cheap sabers might be great for kids to play with, but I would not touch them as serious costume pieces, props, or duelling sabers. I've seen too many cheap "lightsaber" like objects.

I would even be reluctant to give them to kids, some of them might break and could be dangerous.

Yeah, good point. For a cheap and dirty halloween costume, maybe. Anything more than that? Forget it. I have lost count of the number of folks I've directed here or to ultrasabers.

well the only + is that if the saber is a crummy one the leds can be used

im gonna use some leds from one cheep saber to light up the display stand for my Luke V2

still looks like a fun toy me and my son could have fun with that

I'd still love to see someone post more pics and video of this saber.
