    Default Saber booted from ebay...

I tried putting a saber on ebay, at the last minute they canceled the auction... Could anyone tell me the required language for selling a saber on ebay so that wont happen? There are a bunch on there all the time so I know its ok to sell 'em on that stupid website...

Any help would be great, ty.

It kind of depends on how it was done, and if someone had it pulled.

Perhaps other more experienced people will chime in here.

It was described as 'lightsaber prop'... I think I have seen people put 'inspired by Star Wars', maybe that is what was missing. I was trying to describe the saber in detail and probably forgot the most important rear-end covering info

I believe that was a CF, I'd have bought it but I'm watching my $$ right now, i think you may have been the first in a new wave of veros, Jim and Mark had things to say on another forum before the thread got pulled...

Seems that ASM/SF may have woken up the sleeping dragon by posting about his new sound board on the RPF.

Yes, the board was a CF v3.1

Not sure what you mean by that...

Once I learn the proper language required to re-list it, I will. Hopefully it wont get pulled, I haven't used ebay much for selling, guess I'm a bit of a noob.

Is that where the mentioned thread was JLo? I'm not on RPF so didn't see it but it sounds like "things to say" might have got nasty [quel surprise] if mods there pulled the thread? I hope that doesnt deter ASM from his plans.

Your "woken up the sleeping dragon" characterization may be metaphorically accurate JLo but the idea that everyone in this hobby should have to live in fear of 'sleeping dragons' is or should be unacceptable...this nonsense needs to be stopped not only for the good of sellers like strengthofrage or boardmakers like ASM and others but for the whole community.

I was told last time by mods on another forum that things were being done behind the scenes about this but apparently nothing has been resolved...it is a very sad situation imo.

We're talking about Jim Shima, aka Hyperdyne. He could have gotten your auction pulled because he was contesting his patent on sound boards using accelerometers to detect movement. He was doing that for a while, then he stopped.

I don't want to get into a flame fest here about that though, this is just for informational purposes.
