    Default 2003 Luke ROTJ EL to LuxIII conversion

    i have converted this old 2003 luke rotj to a lux III using

    green lux III
    1000ma buck puck (four wire)
    spst slider switch from raidio shack
    luke rotj conversion kit

    Nice conversion.

    You used clear heat shrink on your soldered wires, didn't you? Not clear tape, right? I see pieces of clear tubing in your pics that looks like heat shrink, and hopefully they aren't just drinking straws.

    I used to use clear heat shrink on my EL blades that I made.

    What kind of blade are you using? I can't tell if it's got Corbin film in it. It looks like it could do with a few feet of cellophane gift wrap inside to even out the blade where it dims near the middle and out to the tip.

    yes it is clear heat shrink i assure you and the blade is a premade corbin battle blade

    ok here is the wiring diagram of how i wired this conversion

    i could not figure out the wires going to the original switch so i just put heat shrink over it with it in the on position and left it hanging iside the saber
    also to anyone else if you ever try converting one of these sabers the conversion kit sold in the store does NOT fit through the hole in the emiter i had to bore out the hole a little bigger by hand and it really sucked

    anyways thought i would post the diagram because i was unable to find anything that would help me in the forums
