Just in case you didn't know, DJ, the 501st NEVER gets "paid" to make appearances....they do it for FREE everytime. It's the only way they and the Rebel Legion are allowed to exist by Lucasfilm.

Yep, what Jay-gon says is true. People don't seem to understand that we do this for free.
However, if someone insists on trying to pay one of the groups, we can suggest that they make a donation to their favorite Charity, or one that the RL or 501st sponsors, in the group's name.
We are allowed to accept small gifts, such as comic books or an action figure or something, as long as it's not extravagant, and given freely by the people we are helping to promote. We can't expect or ask for such things ourselves.
I have received comic books, miniatures, stickers, money off coupons for their stores, been fed at the Event, things like that before, because people wanted to do something to show their appreciation.

oh yeah i know that now. the starwars store DONATED to dornbechers and thats why the 501st came out. i missunderstood the owner guy. btw. i showed the owner my reconversion job on my obi wan saber and he wants me to do some conversions for him and make him some MHS hilts. so im kinda syched about that... in fact im calling him now.
