    Default How does it Work?

Hello everyone, I'm making my first Lightsaber with a Luxeon 3 Star but there is something that still a mistery for me...
How does a screw can retain the blade?
Could you explain me how we do a blade retainer?
I'm going to do some Duels with it so it must keep the blade well...
Thank you and please, could you use simple words...I'm French : )Bye

It applies pressure to the blade on the opposite side on the blade socket, like any other type of set-screw would. It works just fine, people have been doing it that way for years now.

Trust us, it works. Most everyone here duels, and no problems.

So it's a bit more clear from what the others have said. The reason the screw stays in place and you can tighten it agains the blade is because you create a thread within the blade holder using a tap and tap handle. If you don't know what a tap is google taps and dies.

Hope that helps a bit more.
