    Default The Chameleon Saber

This is a new saber I just made with a crystal chamber that has color changing/flashing RGB LEDs lighting it. It also has a CREE Green LED for the blade. Right now I am direct driving all the LEDs with 2 AAA batteries. (I was in a hurry to test it). I plan on adding a hasbro sound card later on. Here are some pics. And here is the link to the video: http://s416.photobucket.com/albums/p...t=101_0173.flv

I love the location of the activation switch. I didn't know one could fit it there. Is that a custom part below the crystal chamber?

It is very tricky to put a switch there. I used this one: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Pu...tton--P41.aspx and yes, that is a custom part I made below the crystal chamber. I also made a 3" extension tube and milled out 4 slots for the chrystal chamber.

What kind of LED did you use for the RGB? And can you get the fade effects, or is it just the sudden switch to different colors?

They are just flashing RGB 5 mm LEDs. They cycle through the colors, first slow and then fast and then it starts over again. It is a really cool effect.
