Lightsaber Training and Dueling

I am in Rochester NY. Not sure how close that is to NYJedi but their site looks like fun. I am no swordsman but I have studied Tasu Do and Goshen Jitsu for a good number of years, also tried Kendo for a time. I would imagine saber dueling would be lotsa fun.

Just take a ride over to Amherst, I'm sure there's tons of college foke that would be interested I'm just too damn busy.

If I could find someone near me in my state I would dual them. Just for sport I may only use one double blade or a double and a single.

Well I consider myself very fortunate that the Flynn decided to expand the NY Jedi and now we have a local group here in La. I hope that more groups form so eveybody has a place to train. Goldensaber I always used a Single Blade but have been training a lot recently with a double and never realized how much I Love the Double Saber.

try using two once just to say you did. I like doubles because I can do more with them than a single. It's actually fun to dual wield doubles. You would be surprised how much of your way you can have in a dual if you use two doubles at 1 time.

Sounds more like you'd have a lack of control wielding 2 doubles at the same time.

Actually if you shorten your hilts a little you would be surprised how much of a difference it makes. I've found that an average length of about 15-18 inches is best for shorter doubles. At least for me they are. As far as control or lack of it as you say loreen, it sounds hard until you actualy use the style. No offense to anyone but using two doubles at one time requires more experience than some of you may think.
