Thread: My first Saber. Aequilibrium

    Default My first Saber. Aequilibrium

    Hi all.

Just want to put the first pics of my custom saber. Made up of curved lightside and dark side sabers (once completed of course) called vehemence and serenity and linked with a quick disconnect it will be called Aequilibrium.

Internals will be made up of two modified joe jedi. I'm going to add a switch like grayven did in his tutorial so I can have a purple double blade.

You're off to an interesting start. I'll be watching this build as it progresses.

    Cool name, too.

Cheers for the positive comments guys.

Thanks to Rhyen I've found out what kind of switch I need to get the multiple colors I need. Going to order those and experiment with the color next. Once I've got that and the switching sussed I'm going to put it together for a working preview.

Will get the other joe jedi next in a couple of weeks.

Ah, another fine use of Henry hoover tubes....

Very good start. I wanna get around to doing a double red curved a la Darth Azard at some point.

Interesting design, should look amazing when spun.

Wow, how did you do those?

I got a metal worker to mandrel bend two 14in 38mm od s/s tubes, then got my new favorite toy (dremel) and cut them. Used a round and half file to get the edges crisp and used a bit of emery cloth to give the outside a brushed look for now.
