Havenīt had the time for that yet... Donīt have the hilt with me right now, but I will post pics of the innards soon. It was really cramped there, with only 1" ID to work with, but eventually I got everything suffed int the hilt. It was very fun to build this one and Iīve learned a lot... Now I have even more hilt ideas orbiting my brain

Is that yellow heat shrink you used? If it is, I was mistaking that for a type of solderless connection terminal called a butt splice.
They looks like this:
You place a stripped wire into each and crimp it down on each wire.
As I look more closely though, It looks like you did solder the wires and used yellow heat shrink.

Ahh, perfectly clear now, Loreen, didnīt even know what butt splices were! I do prefer to secure the connections as much as possible, so I soldered the wires and then applied the heatshrink. And no need for apologies, Iīve learned what a butt splice is thanks to your reply
