    Default Solder iron temp?

    What would be the safest and most effective temperature to use on my nb and led? I don't want to fry anything but I also want the solder to be effective.

    I generally like to do board soldering in the 600-700f range with my iron (Hakko FX-888D love it). It's hot enough to melt instantly. Cooler then that and you have to hold the iron in place longer and you can end up actually transferring more heat to the board.

    I haven't moved mine from 600 in probably 6 months. Use it daily at work
