Default Jagahati's First Saber Version 2.0

Hey guys, I wanted to post an update of my progress on this my first saber project.

I posted pic's of what the first one that was just MHS parts and Hasbro sound looked like.

Now I have put another weeks worth of worry and farting around into it. I also got hold of a few more MHS parts and an ULTRASOUND 2.1! I was ecstatic to get something better than the Hasbro Board I started with.

I made a shroud for the front end out of a sink tube, I think it will look even better once I change out that front emitter for a different one.

The whole thing got a couple coats of spray paint. This is the first (and last) time I have used spray paint on a saber. It came out looking pretty good but the finish is not really all that strong and I don't think it will stand up to abuse as well as I would like.

In Short: "Powder Coat it noob!"

    Parts list:
    Ultrasound 2.1
    K2 Royal Blue LED
    Speaker From a walkie talkie
    Film cans to hold internals.
    MHS parts
    a sink tube shroud
36" Blade, w/ 4-5 feet of gift wrap
6 coats of spray paint (3 black 3 clear)

They aren't quite lined up perfectly, they are off set by a little. But it still looks good.

No not quite perfect. but I have a idea to try as soon as I get off work.

going to try using self-made paper washers to stop it from making the 3-5 degree overturn at the very end of the threads. I'll post my results tonight.

Looks nice, and as suggested you could use o-rings.

Lined up or not the recesses look great in black. What do you think about that new blade holder #18 on this hilt?

#18 wouldn't look bad. I'm partial to #11, in fact i will order one in the very near future.

As for the line-up problem two thicknesses of paper solved the problem marvelously. They are invisible now that it is screwed back together.

Pictures to follow when I stop talking on my camera :P
