    I am sorry I dont remember. I wrote the values down after I got the color I liked but I cant find it now. I may pull the hilt apart some time and see what it is. Still though the color I like (actually what my little girl liked) may not be the same color purple you like.

    I'm guessing somewhere between 3 and 5 ohms.

    that sound about right. i was looking at your tutorial on upgrading the construction kit on youtube, and you said that you used one between 3-5 i think.

    ive used a 3.3ohm res and the purple is dark pink!! (getting lots of stick from the mrs lol!) ile try a 5 then work down,

    thanx for all the info folks, i put in a 10 ohm res, got a perfect purple, 2 yellows, almost white as well as the usual red green & blue plus others. ime chuft to bits!

    yeah i have been really interested in the idea of modding a construction kit. so i think i will try it. although i don't have much faith in the stock led that it comes with, so i might put a better one in there. (uless anyone can reassure me that it is perfectly bright enough.)
