Thread: New cheapo soundboard

  1. #1

Default New cheapo soundboard with VIDEO

Found this on the internet, its a spider man green goblin energy sword. made by hasbro the board layout is similar to their spring action lightsaber boards. No motion sensor though, just clash. And it has about 5-6 different clash sounds. Also it has a flicker effect, its a repeating 3 flicker pattern, but its still kind of nifty.

Here is a youtube video of the board

Not as clumsy or random as a blaster, the lightsaber is an elegant weapon, from a more civilized time.

Yeah it shuts off after about a minute if your not engaging the clash sensor.

That would work well for an ancient, or heavily weathered or damaged saber.

    It's definitely neat.
Have you measured the output on that? I've noticed that you can make a flicker off of the cheapo boards by not quite giving your LED enough juice.
Like, a Lux V on a cheapo hasbro flickers the LED in time with the speaker, just because there's a small differential in voltage or current.

Love to hear that when you add it to a hilt. Just wondering what the resonance will make it sound like.

Good find, may have to use that board for an archaic saber.
