Saw it on Thursday, loved it!! Well on par with TWOK.

I always favoured Trek over Wars, TNG was the best.

ILM Has also been involved in several Trek films. The odd thing about this movie is seeing the same charecters played by a different cast.

I wore a Star Wars T-shirt and brought a stuffed Yoda doll who sat on my lap and watched the movie with me. Yoda made a few comments here and there.

That ice planet, of course, reminded him of Hoth, which isn't all that far from Dagobah.

I am by no means a stark trek fan (well, maybe a 7of9 fan) and I thought it was great!

I have been a SW fan as long as i can remember. But i have also been a fan of ST as long as i can remember. Basically any good sci-fi program or franchise. I'm very excited to see the new star trek movie and like most of the actors who are in it. excited to see how they take the existing characters and make them their own. maybe this weekend?

Just saw it again. I feel happier, cooler, and more optimistic.
Star Trek may be the new 42.

I love alterniverse stories!! Scotty seemed too comical, but everyone else was pretty much spot on for a remake!!

Yeah, I think that was my biggest complaint. They really didn't explain why Scotty was the chief engineer beyond his transporter wizardry. It'd be cool if they showed some more of his qualifications.

It is still a good way for a sequel , sales are good though and most likely another by 2011.
