Pink Red VS Orange Red?

Hey I noticed that all the Red Luxeon lightsabers on Ebay always are pinkish which I kind've like because it looked like the sabers in TESB and ROTJ. What was weird though is that on all the pics on here of the sabers that should be PURE red there was no difference between the red orange and red so how can I get a color like this

Btw also how come sometimes the blades are super bright all over and some aren't? Is that because of the camera or just poor instillation or what?

It is real important to understand that the camera sees the light and color a whole lot different then we do. There is a bit of subjectiveness in color as well, I see the red LED's as a true red and at just the right light it has a pink hue. The red-orange is more red then orange but has a tint to it. One thing that I feel is really important to point out is that there are some films that can make the blades get more of a white color down the middle but pretty much all the white is due to camera magic. Some of Tim's pics in the tutorials and in the LED photo section get a much more realistic idea of what you will see when you are holding that sucker. Looks wicked awsome for the video cam though. PhotoAlterations does some neat stuff but it seems to be a topic of debate, she has a topic here in the board you can follow and decide on your own. Point is that it is not impossible to get a pink blade but most likely that puppy is red to the eye.

thats the photonalterations gal. she is goin on in another thread about this light pumping thing, blade of hers. one guy said he kinda reverse engineered it, tore it apart carefully. and other than a film and a vibrating motor, meridian said its basically a TCCS blade.

i dont know for sure my self, but from meridians description, it dont sound all that special to me.
