LED size question...or how small can you go?
Okay, I'm probably going to get flamed for this because I know I've seen it before but a site search just will not turn it up.
What is the smallest diameter hilt that you can mount a Luxeon III in? I have a design, but it would require mounting the LED in a tube that is 7/8 inch inside diameter. Is that possible or am I going to have to enlarge my design?
Yep, a star will fit in 7/8". The problems that jump to mind are: heatsink, battery, switch, and squeezing wiring around them. Not impossible, mind you, but be prepared to pull at least some hair out because of it.Originally Posted by Averjoe

Yup, you'll wind up like me when I converted my old viper defender EL. In fact, it still doesn't work right.
