Can anyone recommend a good first Multimeter for saber building?

ETA: this comment makes me wary:

"Almost everything works perfectly, but it's a huge pain to measure Amperage in the 1mA-1A range. It seems as though the meter simply is not set up to handle that range which is very odd as it is the most common used in electronics. For example, to measure 300mA, you try can try the 200m setting but it will give you the out of range message, so dial up to the 10A and then it won't even register. OTHERWISE it's a pretty darn good meter for the price."
