Are either the LED TCSS or Corbin style complete battle blades equipped with a reflector tip with a diameter which allows enough light to pass through to illuminate the tip?

i believe so. i just bought a TCSS blade and then i bought a bullet shaped tip and then on my printed order reciept it listed round tips.
When I ordered my completed blade, the tip was glued in place.
Im curious.. how can somethign 'reflective' also let light pass through it?
usually, if the tip has a reflector or mirror on it.. the tip wont be lit up like it would be without.. (ie: reflecting the light back down the tube)
I think he's asking of the reflector is the same size as the part of the blade tip that inserts into the end of the blade, which would block the light or if it's a little smaller diameter, which will let some of the light pass to light up the tip.

The completed, stock blades do NOT let light through to the tip.
The bullet tips that you install yourself DO let light through to the tip.
(But the full diameter glows, so it glows where the polycarbonate blade doesn't glow, so it kind of looks like an arrow tip.)
If you're planning on getting a thin walled blade, you can get the bullet tip and buy the 3/4" aluminum reflective disk. The disk reflects some light, and the tip still glows a little bit.
It looks a bit funky, but you'd get used to it.
And I believe you'd get used to the stock blade, as well.
Hope I helped.

Well, I can tell you that the original tips, which were just flat acrylic cabochons with glass mirrors glued to the bottom, didn't let any light through. My old battle blade is made that way and it's completely dark.
Not that it concerns anyone now, with the shouldered tips that Tim now currently carries.

Has anyone tried drilling a small hole in the middle of the reflective disk? I was wondering if that would help.
