Makototsai Led style Test Update
said i was going to do this.. so so far here it is.
heres 8mm blue 45 000 mcd on 4.5 v's(20 of them so far)
Ultra edge blade(packging foam over leds) inside blade
just wanted to give you guys a peek of what the blade im making is going to look like
no corn on the cob.
first picture is- lights on
2nd is - next to obi wan ROS fx
3rd is- lights off

Do you have more information on those LEDs? What's the current draw? 45 lumens each they must be drawing some serious Amps.
Thats cool. I am glad you found something that works. Definitely share the love on those LEDs. I can't usually find something that bright.
How does packing foam and nylon fair?
hey thank you, the leds i bought in town, and my supplier say he gets them off ebay
Have you considered using additional LED's for lighted hilt accents? I've seen this done with EL, specifically on Parks sabers. However, using LED's might work as well.
