    Default my actuall saber.

well this is my design for "Silver Sylence" (it fit cuz it has no sound) My question is for the heat sink. should i use the TCSS blade holder used with sink tubes? look at my design here:

I am just getting stuck on mounting the LED and heat sink and optics. I can machine to any specifications and was gunna wait to add in the dimensions of the design untill i have all my parts. but i just keep getting stuck on the internals of the design. I want to keep it a simple one piece inner hilt.

I say order some MHS parts first..

    a hilt
a blade holder of you choice
    and an LED 'kit'..

so you understand.. I think we all tried to explain it to you before no?

what part(s) are you stuck on?

the great thing about the blade holder for the 1.25 sinktubes is that it will hold all the LED parts you need (the heatsink it comes with, the lens and the lens holder) and you can mount it discreetly in pretty much anything or anywhere. since you are custom machining all your parts, i would definately suggest using the 1.25 blade holder, plus it takes care of the "how will i mount my LED" and "how will i mount my blade" problems at the same time

i agree with Ideal. It will be the easiest and best way IMO.

youve explained how to mount LEDs and Heatsinks. I was just getting confused about how to actually mount the heatsink in the saber itself. Im new to this okay

In the MHS blade holders the heatsink sits at the bottom of the threads of the hilt, extension, or adapter that you screw the blade holder into. then the blade sits on top of the heatsink with the LED. (sorry- badly worded)

For the 1.25 sinktube bladeholder it slides INTO the 1.25 sinktube and is held by the two button screws.

I know you have been told this a lot- but these answers could be found by reading...

the heatsink is mounted to the PART..

for the 1.25 BLADEHOLDER & HEATSINK:
    http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/12...der--P269.aspx

the lead/start gets mounted to the little ribbed piece of aluminum..

and is held in place by the threaded screw holes in the 1.25 OD bladeholder..

    for 'regular' MHS parts..

the led/star is put the end of the part say oneof the 7in hilts in the store..

the bladeholder srews into the hilt sandwhiching the led/star into place..
