Idea: Light Saber Floor Lamp

I recently got one of these for my birthday: Click.

And after seeing all the pictures of everyone's sabers propped up against walls to take pictures, it got me thinking of rigging up a floor stand for a constructed saber. That way you get to show case it, as well as get a little light, and decorative beauty.

Obviously, one would need to have a proper heat sink/ventilation set up so as not to burn up ones LED, and I would have to figure out how to rig it to a wall socket, if that is even possible.

Any thoughts?

I was thinking about it more as a way to display ones saber, more so then a practical piece of "furniture".

I saw those and thought it would be cool for a conductor of a symphony or possibly drummer to use.
