Default my curved sith RGB "the BMF"

New saber - still being finished up but here's the gist at least...

    Rainbow vacuum tube
    1.25" TCSS blade holder
    8 position rotary switch
    Clone Wars Ultimate Lightsaber Board
    700 mA buckpuck
    RGB Rebel star
    4AAA batteries
TCSS sink tube blade holder adapter
TCSS style 6 LED screw on blade holder (used as a pommel)

    On to the pics!

    blade on lights off

    And finally video:

I used the built in vacuum suction hole cover to function as a sort of crystal chamber cover. I used the clear optics for the RGB as a
quasi-crystal (looks better in person). Still have more work to do on the shroud. I also noticed that some of the colors seem to be duplicated
probably cause the red is too overpowering. Have to look into resistoring that thing...

    Comments welcome!

Sweet build! Would have never thought of using an emitter as a pommel

    Cool saber you've got there.

Did you use "standard" optics? or did you try somthing fancier (i.e. xwing)? Can't tell how well the blade fills out, but from what I've see for myself, standard optics aren't too bad....

really not a fan of the pommel, but pretty cool anyway.

    Default curved

Haven't seen a curved hilt in a while. Something makes me think of possibly adding grips....

Thanks for all the comments guys!

Yes, grips are coming - probably from sport chalet's tennis racket section.
Also, the emitter isn't quite there yet - I need two prongs to put on the bottom - it'll make more sense next week.

The emitter should eventually have two pointed prong-like thingies sticking out, sort of like bayonettes
at the 5 and 7 o'clock positions, but I need to go find bar stock or something.
If you look at the shroud, there are sort of mini-guides already there sticking out (look at the 3rd pic
    down, first post).

Yes, I'm using standard optics - not optimal I agree, but it works for now. Can switch out to something else later if it becomes available.

I have a small vibration motor that I was thinking of sticking in there too.
Not quite sure exactly where or how to mount / wire it though... will have to do
some research into it. (any suggestions??)

Oh and it's called the BMF cause as Samuel L. Jackson said, "it's the one that says Bad M*F*"

    Wink

Oh BTW, I got the RGB Rebel from Led-Tech:

    http://www.led-tech.de/en/High-Power...412_49_85.html

I think the reason the optics work ok is cause the rebels are mounted very close together and the star is a normal sized star.

I'll post up pics tonight of the finished emitter shroud and handle wrap...
