Default new nerf....this time they done swords.

Looks interesting, if there's an empty space in the hilt at all maybe one could add a couple strands of el wire to the blade edge and put the batteries and inverter in the handle, if not one would use a quick connector on a gaunt and have the battery and inverter in the gaunt.

That blue one looks a lot like the master sword from LoZ

Saw those at the store a week or so ago, they are all the foam material that nerf uses. The whole sword is that way not even a plastic handle. Though the foam was an overlay and it felt like there was plastic under.

I've been kicking fate a lot recently.
Nerf's been making their blasters so much cooler now that I'm too old to have it socially acceptable to buy them anymore.
    And then... Nerf made swords.
    No. Just no.

I've always pictured a scenario like the commercials, epic Nerf-war or whatever. What're you going to do with swords? Deflect the darts Jedi-style?
(You'd look cooler with an LED saber. XD)

My son collects the blasters. We were just at a couple of stores yesterday, but they didn't have Nerf swords. I imagine they'll get them in a short while. Of course, my kid will then want one for his collection.

I have enough trouble not getting mauled by his belt-fed, battery-operated Nerf heavy machine gun...

I purchased a couple of the nurf gun and those things are very dangerous. Check this video out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D9SshhRcb4

I saw these too. They have some kind of rigid core, but I can't tell if it's hollow or solid without cutting it apart.
Lights wouldn't do much as the foam is too dense to let it shine through. The handle wouldn't give much room anyway.

I'll stick with my home built ones. They're more durable and a lot cheaper.
Yes, I spell it sabre. I just like it that way.

They really don't seem to be all that different than those foam swords they use in LARP.
