Absolutely! When I was a kid I looked for anything that even remotely resembled a lightsaber and would whack it against everything. I spent many a minute in the timeout chair for this of course, but it was well worth it.
I also liked to use the vacuum attachment that was for getting into the space between the carpet and the wall...
I would slide a yardstick into the round end it fit perfectly into the flat part and didn't slide out when I swung it around. I would hold onto the flat part like a handle...I spent a lot of time in the timeout chair for this too.

That's almost as good as my middleschool halloween lightsaber! Mine beat yours though, I covered MY cardboard tubing in aluminum foil, AND I sharpied detail lines onto the foil!

You should definately put in a hyperdyne soundboard in there. I heard his are the best. Better than anything Ultra, and Erv have ever made.
