    Anyone with younglings is gonna appreciate this.


    I am building this for my 3 1/2yo nephew.

    He LOVES Thomas the Tank Engine. So I figured I'd build him one...

    A BIG one![]

    This will be 12' long, 5' Wide, and 6 1/2' Tall.

    I'm probably going to be making the face out of fiber glass... Fun, Fun, Itch, Itch!!! lol

    No, the Tank will be sealed off. There's a bunch of screws in there anyways...

    Any plans for a "steering wheel" and conductors seat? I know it'd be icing on the cake but a horn/train whistle would rock.[8D]

    My budgit limits what I can do with this thing, but I want to put some valves and leavers and the such.

    I was thinking about putting a bench seat inside on the back wall.

    If making the cylinder wasn't such a PITA I'd "Extend" the tank into the box like it should be...

    Hey xwing, IF you have the time, can you draw these plans up in CAD?

    If you can't don't worry about it. I know you must have a bunch of sabers to do. I just think it would be cool to show off.

    The plans that I drew (in the first post) are at a scale of 1 square = 6".

    If you need clearer plans I can scan it rather than that photograph.
