    at the mo i have a black karate gi, parts of a belt with the rest on order, boots, and leatherette to make tabs. just need to do a conversion on my gi to make it more jedi and less ninja! to get things started . Any ideas would be welcome!
    got no pix at the mo but will post them as soon as i get some......

    You know Valgard...a karate gi will probably be too stiff to even look Jedi. Most costuming groups won't even allow gi's to be used for tunics. You'd be better off either buying one or making it yourself...and if you can't sew, get someone else to do it. My mom made my first tunic set...Most moms can sew. Its not expensive for fabric to make a whole tunic set. I paid 40 credits for enough fabric to make a tunic, tabbards, obi, and even an undertunic. Check around cosplay for people who commission costumes if you can't find anyone to make it. Osnaburg fabric is the cheapest, most Jedi looking, and easiest to dye for any color you want.

    it may be just me but i having a hard time finding the credits to USD conversion.

    i know someone who takes commisions for costues, last time i checked she was realy full. ill check with her again to see how she is doing and if she needs some comisions ill give you her email

    I bought the EPII Kenbi from Costumebase, does the trick, but my advice would be to get the Simplicity pattern for tunics & get someone to make it. Cheapest, most likely to fit you better & all round awesome.

    Should have my new robes sorted in afew weeks!
