Oh boy... did you see the difusser thread Gelu made yesterday? It will probably answer many of your questions and I indexed and added to the FAQ.[]

One of the better diffusers is the one Tim sells here it is easy to install and looks good and the price is good and you can just add it on to your order with a polycarbonate blade with a 1" tip and you have a blade or just order one that Tim has already put together.

With you just starting out you can't beat Tim's diffuser, the film looks good too but it can be a pain in the south region to get into the blade without causing crinkles and then getting the seam straight.

Here's another vote for Tim's diffusers, both EL and LED. Using these will save you much time, hassle, and possibly even money.

You know sometimes it is like trying to re-invent the wheel when something works (Tim's diffuser)use it it makes life easier.

Count me among the ranks. While I was waiting on an order I played around with several different materials for diffusers and I found that Tim's was better. The film I just don't have the time for and I'm happy, the kids are happy, Tim's happy, the wife maybe not so much[] but ya just can't go wrong with it.

Is it just me or has anyone else put together an EL blade with all of Tim's components and it doesn't rattle? Seems to be a common gripe but on the blades I made everything was nicely fitted with no movement.

I have an el saber to build and the el blade to assemble, but other projects keep getting ahead of it. I will post the results when I get it finished.
