Thread: Why can't we convert the Windu?

Default Why can't we convert the Windu?

I suggest delting this because it's probally been talked about multiple times but I was hoping to send my Windu out to get converted by Ultra Sabers except luckily I noticed he said the Windu cannot be converted safely? Does anyone know why? Also is there ANYONE who does convert it because I'm thinking about trying it myself except I'm a noob who will probally end up burning my garage down in a poor attempt of who knows what LOL []

The big problem with the mace saber conversion is that there is really no place to install thumbscrew or set screw to hold the blade. Some people have converted the mace saber and then left the stock blade not removable from the saber.

Once again Master Do-Clo has slammed out a perfect answer quicker then I could.

The big question is would the UV LED deal work in a Mace hilt? That's the one I want[]

Simply put yes it would, it would make a nice conversion. You could use the MR sound board and resisitors to limit the current to the leds and you could also have a power up power down effect by using the individual ground wires to power the uV leds. It would start off dim then get brighter should look cool.

The conversion kit I designed uses three longer set screws where the stock trim ring near the blade is. Seems to work really well and you just use a allen wrench to remove the blade.
