yes, i was one who built one from a real graflex. i originally used one of tims other led holders he machined down to fit. what i did for the switcyh was go to allelectronics.com, i looked up tiny lil micro switches, like the ones they solder on component boards. i got the ones with the long leads, i bent them up, since they point straight down. i had cut a couple grooves along the length of tims holder and used small wires and cut that groove deep enough to lay wires in so they would be just under flush with holder. then the tricky part, sliding the holder in the handle, i had to slip the wires into the slots i cut going throught the top red button hole. as i slid the holder in, the wires stayed in grooves. and as it got close to position, i just made sure the wires and switch were down in the opening. i used a piece of electrical tape across the bottom of switch to prevent shorting out on holder. then on button underside i used a tiny piece of craft foam, the kind wally world has with the sticky back, on that conical shaped part that comes down when you push the button. a lil trial and error to get the right amount there. when screwing the button back on, thats when you will find out if you have too much or not enough foam on there. first time it fired off on me, so i removed a lil of it, and tried again. that time i got it right. then pushing the existing, top red button, firesd off the saber. of course i was using a 8 dollar hasbro board with sound to run the led also. so the switch was a momentary one. it works great. and i also had a red button thumbscrew to use in the glass eye spot to hold the blade. so on mine, nothing looks out of place, or anything extra thats not supposed to be there. with the blade removed, i even have a core piece i made from a dowel rod and a round piece of steel, inserted in end, annd end of dowel colored black. with that in there, and red button thumbscrew tightned down on it. you cant tell the difference between it and just a regular belt hanger prop.
now with tims new graflex holder coming in, it will make the build easier to do. oh, and the lil port pins, i drilled and tapped holes in tims holder and painted the area black and screwed them in place.
tims holder will have that area already drilled and tapped for those pins. thats why im thinking of getting one myself and swapping holder out.
