Which glue for the led?
Sorry if this was already posted in the forum. I have an aluminium heatsink and the Luxeon Led Emitter, and i'm wondering which glue do i need to use for put these 2 parts together? Remember i live in Argentina and we don't have the same glues you have there. If any can show me any pictures of the glue... maybe i can get one similar here. I think i can use regular contact glue, but maybe i'm wrong... Thank you.

If their MHS pieces, you shouldn't need glue.

I mixed thermal compound and contact cement on one setup that I did, it worked ok but I really had no way of knowing if the LED was getting enough heat transfer so I switched to what Do-Clo said and just drill and mount with nylon screws ala TCSS.

Ok... but i do not have the Luxeon Star. i have the Luxeon emitter, it is the same but it doesn't have the metal star under the led... so there is no place to mount the plastic screws. I was thinking in thermal paste... do i also need a contact cement? Do you know if this mix works? The heatsink and blade holder i have are aluminium. I have them made from a frien of mine who works with aluminium. They are the same the ones you use...
